Consultation, Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis

For nearly 20 years, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families who want to understand themselves more deeply. After completing my medical training, I was drawn to psychotherapy because it allowed me to build deeper therapeutic relationships. I value the connection that forms in the therapeutic space, and the capacity for healing, growth, and self-reflection that exists within it.

I completed a Master of Pastoral Studies, Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care so that I could work with the whole of a person, bringing together my medical, psychotherapeutic, and spiritual care training. Alongside this attention to mind, body, and spirit, I have extensive experience working with Queer, HIV/AIDS, Indigenous and BIPOC communities, and I welcome clients from across the spectrum of diversity.

My commitment is to a relationship grounded in trust, acceptance, and non-judgment, where personal growth and discovery can happen at your own pace. Within it, I accompany you in making sense of past and present experience, in recognizing your strengths and where you might desire growth, and in fostering a life that feels more meaningful.

I believe people often come to therapy because they want something to change. When our relationship to ourselves and to others is strained, we can get caught in thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that keep us from living more freely as ourselves. Therapy helps us see how these patterns work in our lives. With that understanding, we can begin to act differently, and change that lasts becomes possible.
